ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, -AND GOD CREATED THEM ALL

                                 Beloved Ebony-(Ebby) 1997-2010

On a beautiful day in 1997,
God sent us a puppy right from heaven,
Sent to the shelter,
She waited for us,
As she ran helter skelter.

Gentle in spirit and love she gave,
Saying with her eyes,
You are to save.

Save her we did, and we never looked back,
We brought Ebby home,
And we all got on track.

The bonding was instant,
Our joy was immense,
Our home was again alive,
And never tense.

Family, friends, all who came,
Fell in love with her the same.

She greeted all with the same happy heart,
And she was sad when they had to part.

This bundle of joy,
Sent from heaven,
Gave unlimited love,
Seventy times seven.

Always eager to please,
When given a command,
She would do her best,
With a simple gesture of her masters hand.

Holidays came, and she always took part,
In each celebration,
With a lot of heart.

Every year at Christmas,
She was so full of joy,
For she knew she would receive that brand new toy.

She loved her yard, with room to run,
With lots of shade, and a little sun.

Then in winter when let out,
She would play in the snows, and bury her nose,
Then come back in the warmth,
With very cold toes.

The memories are dear,
Of our beloved pet,
All the good times we shared,
We shall never forget.

Alas, time passed, the years flew by,
As fast as the wind, or the blink of an eye.

For all too fast came that fateful day,
She looked in our eyes, as if to say,
Mom, Dad, I can't make another day.

So it is said, we must do the right thing,
Because there must be no more pain, or suffering.

You know we both love you,
And want what's best,
So, our beloved Ebby,
Now go to your eternal rest.

Ebby was rescued from the SPCA, Niagara County in February 1997. She
was found abandoned by the Niagara Falls High School. Thank God for this
wonderful gift He gave us for 13 wonderful years.
