Name: Alison
Pet's Name: Bronson

We adopted Bronson (Sergeant) in June
of 2008 and he is more than we could have ever wished for!
He gets along great with his other Doberman sister and his
Rat Terrier brother. He's gained a lot of muscle and weight
since he was brought in as a stray with intestinal worms.
When we first brought him home he weight 62lbs and now he's
up to at least 95lbs from his last vet visit. He is pure
muscle, the transformation was amazing! He is the biggest
cuddle bug and is really enjoying his fenced in backyard and
playing with his dog friends. We just wanted to say thank
you again for helping us find the perfect new family member
for us and to let you know he is doing great!

These pictures are of Sookie (Rose when
you had her). We adopted her from you last spring when she
was a tiny baby. Then she grew up to be the biggest of our
pack. Her nickname is "Roo" because she doen't quite bark,
she roo's! You can see how well she's doing from the
pictures! Thank you, all of you there, for such a great job
you all do and giving us the perfect family!

Pet's Name: Louie
.JPG)
Louie is fitting in great! All the other dogs like
him and he's becoming quite comfortable as you can see!
We're still trying to fatten him up with lots of food,
treats, and love!! The picture with him on the couch with
the Foxhound (May) is the Foxhound we brought into you and
adopted about 3 years ago. The picture of just Louie on the
couch - he was soaked from the pond, came in and decided to
dry off on the couch! That's what the spots are, water!!
Nice!

More on
Curly . . .
Hi an update on curly;
Curly can bark!! She had not made a sound since I got her
till yesterday. I left her tied out
too long and she let me know about it. She is adjusting
well . Still doesn't like ridding in cars.
But have taught her to get in them. She's starting to play
more. Here are some pictures of her.
The other dog is jack he came to us from a Rochester shelter
as a pup three yrs ago.
We are enjoying having Curly. Thanks again Lynnette

4/26/10: Hi an update on curly;
She is doing fine . Has started to
settle in, gets into the garbage and all that good
doggie stuff. Hard to believe I've had her a month now.
Curly is gaining confidence
in me and herself everyday. Sending pictures of my son's dog
jack and her playing
which was a mile stone for her .Sometimes she acts like she
never new how to play
but she's learning now from me and Jack. It has been fun to
watch her learn. I'm
training her in obedience and she is very smart. Thanks for
letting me take her Curly
was just what I needed. Lynnette Hartwig

Name: Mark Buehrmann
Petname: Parker

Parker is doing well! He is growing like a weed, and as
expected, keeping me very busy.
That said, he has a great
temperament and gets a lot of affection from everyone who
sees him.
I really needed to outfit him at first to get him
used to the cold and protect his pads from the
salted
sidewalks. Attached is a photo. Now he doesn't need the
sweater, so is spared the
embarrassment :) He loves the
car, and seems to fall asleep whenever he gets in for a
drive.
Cheers, Mark

Petname: Moondance (Formerly Mai Tai)

Look who came to visit us!!
Moondance was adopted back in October. She is
doing fantastic
in
his new home. She even performed some tricks his new
owner
has taught him. It was great
to see her and we look forward to future visits!!
Moon's owner writes:
This is Moondance...or Moon for
short. Her name used to be Mai Tai when
she was here at the
animal shelter. Moon fit in so fast at our house. She is
so
playful and smart. She loves to chase the lazer pointer
and even learned some
really neat tricks like sit, lie down,
turn around and sit up already. I'll be visiting
the shelter
more and can't wait to be back to say hi! 2/10/10

Name: Colleen
Larkin
Petname: Tommy/Sphinx (Tyler)

After a very sad month following the
death of our beautiful 14 year brown tiger, Cleo,
we came to the SPCA almost 3 weeks ago to adopt a new furry
family member.
Our family of four came in with the intention of giving one
cat a new forever home--but
instead, we left with TWO kittens--brothers named Tommy and
Sphinx (you knew him
at the shelter as Tyler). I just wanted to let you
know that both boys are doing GREAT.
As I type this, they're peacefully snoozing on the couch
next to me, cuddling together,
after a long morning of playing. They obviously love
each other and are very happy to
be members of a family. They're starting to fill out
nicely (they eat like CRAZY), play
hard, but are still two of the sweetest kittens you'd ever
want to meet. I'm glad we
came in that day. It's so good to have pets in our
home again. Thank you. (I'll send
pictures shortly).

Name: Tracy
DeLoreto
Petname: Scratchy
I adopted Scratchy 16 years ago
from the SPCA. She was the pet of the week and
I knew as soon as I saw her that she was the one for me. At
the time I already had a
cat (since has passed away). When I brought her home they
became fast friends. Today,
at 17 she has almost as much energy as the day I first
brought her home and keeps her 2
brothers in line. I am just thankful that you brought her
into my life. 1/20/10

Name: Georgina Fisher
Petname: Molly
We absolutely LOVE our new beagle. We
named her Molly and she is adapting well.
She started
running and playing in her big fenced yard with her new
brothers as soon as
she got home, but it is still taking her
awhile to play with toys, but she is starting to grab
a ball
once in a while. She sleeps in my daughters bed every night
and always has a warm
sofa next to the fireplace to lay on.
She is spoiled and is LOVING it. Could you please
send me
some information on how I can become a member of the SPCA
and donate or
help more. I wish I could have taken all the
orphans home and really want to help out as
much as
possible. Thanks a million. The work the SPCA does is
exceptional and want to
do my part.

Petname: Scooby (Cookie Monster)
We wanted to update you on how Scooby the basset hound
(formerly Cookie Monster) is doing. We adopted him in early
June. He was a
bit of a handful the first few weeks but has settled down
and behaves well now.
He needed plenty of chew toys because he loves to play and
has alot of energy. He
lays in some of the oddest positions u could imagine. He
gets along great with our
older beagle who is very mellow. They are best friends now.
Its safe to say he has a
forever home with us. We thank you foryour compassion,
patience and dedication
to animals.

Name: Chrissa, Dan, Katie and Hayley
Petname: Pixie/Bubbles
We want
to thank you again for bringing Pixie (formerly Bubbles)
into our family.
She is now 8 years old and still full of surprises. Of
course you can teach an old
dog new tricks ...but the best ones are the things she comes
up with all by herself!
Pixie just started to "stand up and dance" and wave her paws
in delight when
Daddy comes home. We had never seen her do anything quite
like this until Daddy's
job took him away for several days at a time. Upon his
return, Pixie is dancing and
smothering him with kisses! She also decided to mother a
kitten we were fostering,
snuggling it and licking it's tiny head. Pixie loves rides
in the car, walking on the
Conservation Trails, snuggle time with Mom on the couch and
playing fetch with the
girls ... but she truly loves her Grandma the best. We are
so grateful to you and your
staff for all of your help and caring.

Petname: 7-up/Phantom
Hi, our cat phantom (you know him
as 7-up) is doing great. He is a little crazy
but he is very much loved. We got him because our two cats
have died and our
dog Gretzky has been very lonely and sad. However Gretzky
and Phantom love
each other and are best friends. Gretzky is very happy now
that we have got Phantom.

Pet name: Hooch
Just wanted to let you know hooch
aka dingo is doing great. He has calmed
down and is quite the couch puppy. He responds well to
commands and is
very playful. Still working on his leash training as he gets
excited when he
sees people or other animals. He is also a great watch dog.
Thanks to all of
you especially for letting me know how playful he is. He
loves his new
surrounding and is getting bigger by the day. I have never
seen such a kissable,
loveable dog. Thank you again!!!!
