Here are some critters who were in need of special love and medical care!!

We would like to thank Gerber Animal Hospital for making this possible!!

 Avoidable Cruelty

This sweet kitty had quite an ordeal. He came to us after being cruelly shot with a BB gun. He is doing very well now and has been placed for adoption. He is looking for a family that will keep him safely indoors!! What happened to “Nimoy” is only one of the many dangers cats face when they are allowed to roam outdoors. Please, keep your felines safely inside!!!

              Feeling Better

This charismatic kitty came to our shelter in need of assistance. He could not walk well, due to an open wound he had on his leg. Despite his injury he was  overjoyed to receive the love and attention that was showered on him by the staff. He then received some extra special care from the Gerber Small Animal Hospital who kindly offered their services and repaired his hurt leg.

"Paw Paw", as he was named by the staff, was not out of the woods yet. He had a bad case of ear mites and he also had a cold. After a month's worth of antibiotics and special care, he is now ready for a home of his own. He is a friendly guy with a wonderful personality. Stop by soon and meet your new kitty!!

Paw Paw is awaiting a new home. Come see him today!

          A New Start

Here's a joyful and wiggly girl who wasn't so happy a short time ago. Diamond had on a collar that was WAY too small for her. Her chain collar was painfully embedded in the flesh of her neck. She was rushed by our agent to the Gerber Small Animal Hospital who generously treated her with extra loving care. They anesthetized her and carefully removed the collar from her neck. They then thoroughly scrubbed the area and used staples to close the large wound. She was then returned to our SPCA where our devoted staff diligently attended to her aftercare with daily antibiotics, frequent scrubbing of her wound and with extra love!!

Diamond was a "trooper" through it all. She barely objected to the excruciating cleansing of her injury and always took her medicine with no trouble at all. After a long road to recovery she is now ready for a brand new start with a family that can return to her the love and affection she shows for everyone she meets. Come to the SPCA and visit this sweet and engaging girl today!!

                                Diamond was adopted 5/4/10!!!
