Out of County Animals
The Niagara County SPCA can only accept animals originating from within Niagara County. If you live in a county other than Niagara and have an owned animal to surrender, please call your local SPCA or Humane Society. If you have found an animal in another county, please call the SPCA or Humane Society in the county where you found the animal.
The SPCA of Niagara asks for a surrender donation when an owned animal is admitted to the shelter. These donations help to care for the animals while they are in our care, providing vaccinations, food and water, sterilization and any necessary medical treatment for the animal. Any donation above the requested surrender donation is greatly appreciated. We request the following surrender donations:
Litter of Kittens- $15
Litter of Puppies- $20
Other- based on species
There are no fees to drop off stray animals, but donations are greatly appreciated.
Owned cats and dogs and stray cats
If you have a cat or dog that you need to surrender or if you have found a stray cat, please note that the SPCA can only accept surrenders from our waiting list. Walk in surrenders will not be admitted. If you have or have found a sick or injured cat or dog, please call the shelter at 716-731-4368.
