Found as a stray. Handsome and curious kitty. Likes to play.

Found as a stray. She is quite a bit overweight and could use a diet. (She weighs 14.2 pounds). Affectionate girl with big gold eyes. She will need an extra large litter pan and we do suggest one with a cover (she is so large she sometimes "misses" at the edge of the pan). Has a little dry skin and dandruff. There are foods and product made specifically to address dry skin issues, so check with your local pet supply store and your vet. Big Bertha is Large and Loving!!!! 3/2: We have found that Big Bertha can be very cuddly but only when she wants to be. She can also be a little moody and may be best in a home without small children!!

Surrendered with her two sisters due to owner had many cats. Accustomed to children ages 4-16 years. They were indoor/outdoor cats. Strawberry is very friendly and enjoys being petted.

Surrendered with his two brothers. They were a little thin when they arrived and they are afraid. The noise and bustle of the shelter makes them nervous and they are wary of strangers. Our staff and volunteers are working very hard to shower them with love and convince them they are safe!!

 

Found as a stray. He is a little bashful and likes to watch the activity from inside his kitty cube. Would appreciate a quiet household. 2/12/10: Our employees have found that Houdini likes to have his belly rubbed and to be held like a baby. He gives "head-nudges" to show affection and will climb right into your lap for some loving!!

3/3/10: Houdini had to be fostered for a bit, due to a cold. He is feeling all better now. He sneezes occasionally but needs no further medication. He is ready again for adoption!!

She was found living underneath a porch with her two kittens. She is so shy she did not even want to look at the camera during her "photo shoot". She is now hiding underneath her bed!! She will need a quiet household and lots of TLC to learn that she is safe and loved!!! 2/27: Clover is showing great improvement!! She is gaining weight and becoming more social and trusting of people. She also likes to be brushed!! 3/5: Clover was seen playing with toys today. She is more comfortable with her surroundings each day!!!

Surrendered due to owner moved to an apartment that would not allow a cat. Adopted from the Erie County SPCA in 2008, she was never taken to the vet after that. We have updated her shots and she is ready for adoption. She is very affectionate when she wants to be, but in true "Torti" fashion, she does have moments of attitude!! Her owner states she is accustomed to other cats and enjoys playing with tinfoil balls and playing hide and seek in the shower curtain. Her owner also states it takes awhile for her to warm up but when she does she is very lovey and likes kisses. She does not enjoy having her nails trimmed so you may need a Veterinarians assistance for clipping her nails.

Found as a stray. Very friendly boy who loves to play!! 3/5: Diego is quite the social "love bug". He follows everyone, demanding attention and cuddling up against them.

Peaches was found as a stray. The person who found her brought her inside and would have loved to keep her but the cat that already lived there did not agree. Peaches is now searching for a home of her own. She has been fine with the kitties she has met here and has shown herself to be a very playful and affectionate girl.

Found as a stray with his brother. They are both very social and love to purr!! Iggy is extra special because there is a good possibility he is deaf. He does not react to loud noises and seems not to hear all the "sweet talk" he gets from the staff and volunteers. He may not hear us but he sure gives us plenty of love!!

 

Adopted and returned due to a family member's allergies. Is great with kids, (was living with children aged 4 years and 6 years). Loves to play with feathers, balls and string. His former family states he is, "a very friendly and affectionate cat. Loves to play and to be held and cuddled. Will come when you call him. He loves to interact with people".
