Found as a stray. was in very poor shape whem found. He had sores all over his paws and a bad case of whipworms. After several weeks of antibiotics and medicated baths, which Tanner was very patient for, he is now ready for a family to love!! His paw pads are still a little red but will heal up just fine when he gets into a new, warm home. We have tried to help his paws feel better by putting cushy blankets in his kennel to help his paws stay off the cement, but he keeps shredding them. We are afraid he may swallow a piece and harm himself so we were forced to remove his blankets. He is a little shy at first and is ready for some TLC. It is always best, if you have a dog at home, to let them meet before doing an adoption.
Found as a stray. He was a little timid when he first arrived but he has gotten used to the bustle of the shelter now. He is a little shy when meeting new people but warms up quickly. Loves attention and loves to play with his toys. He weighs approximatley 40 lbs.
Found as a stray. Came in severeley neglected. His hair was horribly matted and was soaked in urine and feces. Kris from Pretty Baby Grooming Palace on Porter Rd. cam to his rescue. He is now gorgeous and he feels so much better now!! He will need regular grooming in the future. He is a high-spirited boy who likes to leap up on you. He will pull and bite on his leash when walked. He will need to learn basic doggie manners!! He has a little denatl tartar and would benefit from a professional dental cleaning in the future. He is a carefree and charming guy who bounces around like a young pup.
Found as a stray. When she came in her coat was extremely matted and neglected. Mary, from Mary's Grooming on Saunders Settlement Road, was kind enough to offer Licorice a free grooming. Licorice now feels and LOOKS great!!! Thank you so much Mary!!! Licorice is a relaxed and calm girl who is a little shy. Her hair will require regular grooming.
She was found as a stray tied to a fence with a huge chain wrapped around her neck. She has a wonderful and happy personality. Loves to play with toys. She is a very active girl. It is always best, if you have a dog at home, to let them meet before doing an adoption.
Found as a stray. He is a wiggly and enthusiastic boy, (it was difficult to get him to stop dancing around during his photo session). He is an active guy who will need all basic training. He has some hair loss on the left side of his head. This may or may not grow back. This puppy will dance his way right into your heart!!
Found as a stray. Came to us in serious need of a grooming. Thanks to Mary, from Mary's Grooming on Saunders Settlement Road, he received a complimentary haircut!! He is a happy-go-lucky guy who will require regular grooming.
Found as a stray. She showed signs of terrible neglect. Her coat was extremely matted, she had a severe flea infestation and a double eye infection. Thank you so much to Mary, from Mary's Grooming on Saunders Settlement Road, for transforming this little girl from suffering to sensational!! Bambi's coat will require regular grooming. Her teeth are in great need of a dental cleaning, and the very generous Gerber Small Animal Hospital on Military Rd. has offered to perform this service for free while she is being spayed!! Her eyes are a little cloudy but she can see just fine. These are normal age related changes. You may notice her skin is a little dry and flaky. This is due to the skin infection she was suffering from due to her poor coat condition. Her skin is improving daily. This little lady is ready for her new life in a home where she will be treated like the little princess that she is!!!
Found as a stray. This sweet girl wants to tell you she is very docile and easy going. She came in with some calluses and areas of missing fur. This fur may never grow back. Won't you come visit with Cali today?
Found as a stray. Very active and hyper boy. Will need all puppy training. He is in his teething stage and will need strong toys to chew on.
Found as a stray. He was very uncomfortable when he arrived due to his coat bieng severely matted. Thanks to Mary, from Mary's Grooming on Saunders Settlement Road, he is looking and feeling a great bit better now!!! His coat will require regular grooming in the future. He is a wiggly and excited boy!!
Found as a stray. Will be a very large dog when he reaches his adult size. Will shed quite a bit so he will need regular grooming. Sweet and beautiful puppy!!!
This smiling guy is Moose, our gentle giant. He was found as a stray. He was obviously VERY well fed where he came from because he is VERY overweight. His new family should put him on a strict weight loss program of diet and exercise, for having so many extra pounds can cause him severe health problems as he ages. Walks nicely on leash. he is a jolly and personable boy!!
Found as a stray, she came in with a severe allergic reaction on her chest that quickly spread to her belly. Thanks to the generosity and kindness of the Gerber Small Animal Hospital she is all better now. Some of her fur needed to be shaved to help clear her skin but this will soon grow back. Charmin has thick "Husky-like" fur and will require regular grooming. Will probably be a heavy shedder. Will be a very large girl when she grows up!!!
