August 3 & 4, 2013 |
|
It's
almost that time of year again; |
| |
the time of year when dogs can be seen lounging near pools
with their owners, playing fetch with children on break or
investigating the
world around them having a
tongue-hanging-out good time. It is also time for the
Niagara County SPCA's Second Annual Dog Days
of Summer!
Let's recap from last year's event: we had over 35 vendors,
live bands, agility demonstrations, police dog
demonstrations, Chiavetta's chicken, Cruising for Critter's
Car show and a ton more! We are doing it all over again except
this year
will be bigger and better! We have 2 full days of
events planned and new to this year's event: a car parts
swap meet! So, once again,
please
join us in celebrating our
furry companions that have become so important in our lives.
We will raise our cups (whether beer,
wine,
soda or water)
and be thankful that we have animals in our lives and that
the Niagara County SPCA has pledged and continues
to do
everything we can to save the animals of Niagara County and
give them a better life.
Please join us on Saturday, August 3 and Sunday,
August 4 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the shelter grounds to
celebrate not
only our canine friends, but our feline friends as
well!
Proceeds from this event will go to Niagara County SPCA to
help care for sick and homeless animals. Please join us for
the Dog Days
of Summer!
Chiavetta's chicken will be served again this year on
Saturday, August 3. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at
the shelter,
or right
here via Paypal.
If tickets do not sell out, a limited number
of dinners may be available the day of the event. Serving
for the
Chiavetta's begins at 12pm and ends at 3pm. Tickets
purchased online can be picked up at the event.
We are looking for vendors to participate in our event as
well. We hope to see some of the same faces from last year's
event
and add some new ones as well. If you are a vendor and
would like to participate in our event, you may participate
for one day or
both days! Vendor applications can be printed
here and mailed along with your check or money order for
the vendor fee to:
Niagara County SPCA
PO Box 686
North Tonawanda, NY 14120
or you may fill out an application at the shelter.
We have some great bands lined up again this year to support
our cause!
