Kid’s Korner
Kid’s Korner features stories about SPCA “juniors” and their activities and contributions, which benefit the SPCA pet community. These youngsters have been extremely generous and are greatly appreciated.

Vito Wojick, 4 years old, and Carina Grace, 10 years old, dropped by the shelter today and brought many wonderful supplies, food, and toys for the animlals. They vowed they would return soon to bring more donations. We look forward to their future visits. They are pictured with a furry friend, Buddy! This is not Vito's first visit here. He donated some food and supplies not long ago, also. Thank you so much kids!!! 5/3/08

We would like to thank 8 year old Michelle Terbot. This Wheatfield resident recently dropped by the shelter with a generous donation of dog and cat food and a monetary donation that she raised in honor of her neighbor's dog, Tyson. Last year, Tyson had wandered into a neighbor's yard and ate some poisoned bait that had been intended to manage a skunk problem. Being especially fond of Tyson, Michelle asked her birthday party guests to bring gifts for the animals at the SPCA. Thanks everyone!!!

Eleven year-old Allison Rickard, a student at St. Peter’s School, has
undertaken a rather ambitious project. Allison put out the following flyer
around her home on the Tuscarora Indian Reservation.
“Do you love animals? I do, that’s why I want to help. I am collecting dog and
cat food and toys to donate to the SPCA. If you can help, please bring your
donation to the home of Allison Rickard, 1905 Upper Mountain Road, Lewiston. Any
questions or for pickup, call Allison at 510-0952 and leave a message”.
Allison is pictured above bringing in several bags of gifts that she has
collected thus far. She hopes that, with your help, she will be making many more
trips to the SPCA shelter. As a postscript, Allison has made a second trip to
the shelter with more than a dozen additional bags of dog and cat food. She, and
the residents of the Reservation, are to be congratulated for their generosity
and there great concern for our animal friends.
