Meet Your Match Adoption Program
Coming soon to the SPCA of Niagara is the Meet Your
Match Adoption Program. The SPCA of Niagara
currently conducts behavior assessments on all of the
dogs over 6 months of age that walk through the doors.
We will begin using the SAFER method of behavior
assessments along with the MYM program.
The program uses color coding to determine the energy
level, friendliness and motivation level of the dogs in
our facility. Potential adopters are also asked to
fill out a survey to determine what color best suits
their lifestyle. Adopters are then encouraged to
look at dogs within their color. Sharing a color
means that these dogs may be best suited to your
