Kari McAlee
The expense of caring for our healthy, homeless pets is significant. However, providing proper medical care for the many sick and injured animals that are brought to our shelter is next to impossible. They need us and we need you.
Frequently, there are items you have around your house that are no longer needed and could be given away. Those items might be very essential for the care of an injured or sick pet. For example, if your own pet no longer requires an old veterinary prescription, even if those medications have recently expired, we would gladly accept them at our shelter. These could include flea medications, de-wormers, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, (Dermaxx & Rimadyl), ear cleaners, ear and eye medications, ointments, shampoos and much more. Any of these would be very helpful in the treatment of our animals.
Some of our
members may be employed in the human health-care field. If
there are any items that are no of longer use at your
facility, we can probably use them here. These could include
gauze, drape material, bandage
material, and much more. Please don’t ever feel your item
does not make a difference. When needed, you
r item might
mean the difference between life or death to an animal.
Monetary donations, no matter how small, also add up and make it possible for us to provide the treatment that is not normally available at a shelter. Cash donations are most often used to provide x-rays, anesthesia, surgeries, and medications that have to be purchased. Thanks to your help, we are now able to assist those animals whose physical conditions require special care.
